Its narrative lyrics and sonic diversity burrow into the heart and give way for the complex dance between grief, pleasure, individuality and the universal. In the end, listeners are invited to a meeting ground that is vital for authentic connection.
ABOUT
Ruby Luna and The Fox is made up of Angel Rose and Samantha Rose. The duo originally met in Boston, but call planet earth their home. Together, these two genderqueers create dreamy folk rock that strives to fully connect to the present and to stand in awe of the depth of the human spirit. Reminiscent of Diane Cluck, Lucy Daucus, and Big Thief, their sound is witness to the waves of existence and the colors of mountains; it breathes in the cold of heartache swallowed by the depths of fire and exhales a warmth that cradles humanity.
Seasoned musicians, Angel and Samantha have performed with several touring groups and have played hundreds of shows throughout the US and abroad over the past 15 years. Ruby Luna and The Fox toured throughout Europe and the US this past summer and, at the same time, completed their EP, “this can help us in the end,” at Jazztone Studios in Valencia, Spain, with producer and engineer, Liz Teutsch.
